Symbols are unique signs in society, that represent different ideas and concepts. They have to be taught to be understood, much like the bio hazard symbol. Without being taught what it stands for, the symbol loses its meaning. The goal for this project was to create three different symbols, each one standing for a different idea. The top left represents fishery by-catch, the top right represents over-fishing, and the bottom symbol represents the domino effect, a phenomenon in which the depletion of one species in a food chain affects the rest of the species in the chain.
