SLIGHT // questioning smartness

What is smart?
The questionable nature of so-called "smart" products inspired the creation of a critical design object called SLIGHT.
This smart lamp is so smart, it questions its own existence and rebels against its own use by physically switching itself of, when turned on.

SLIGHT was developed during a prototyping course at the Köln International School of Design and was presented as an interactive piece where it surprised many visitors and triggered discussions on their understanding of  the term "smart".
Presentation
As SLIGHT was developed as part of a prototyping course, the goal was to learn more about electronics, dabble in mechatronics and receive
an introduction in coding and programming. Therefore the individual components with descriptions were displayed at the exhibition.
