These portraits always take two days to make. The first day I the basic drawing, but I can never make it look quite right. After sleeping on it, I can simplify and get the look I want.

The second-day refinement always leads to simpler shapes. This illustrates how important it is not to fall in love with your work, and to keep removing uneeded elements.
