Visual Hierarchy & Mondrian

The purpose of this project was to understand and investigate the distinction between 2-D and 3-D representations. By analyzing the elements of a 2-D painting by Piet Mondrian, I was able to understand how 2-D and 3-D representation could show a connection to one another. Through understanding and by analyzing the two different dimensional representations, converting a 2-D painting by Piet Mondrian called "Composite with Red, Yellow, Blue, and Black 1921", into a 3-D model was feasible.
Final Model - Model was constructed out of basswood and basswood dowels.
