NameLink App UI/UX Design Concept

NameLink App Design Concept

I designed an experience to help teachers match faces to names, with the goal of shortening the time needed to reach complete un-aided accuracy.

The design process: (2 days)
Research > Ideation Sketching > Wireframing > Prototyping.

The Research process can be viewed here.
Disclaimer:
This case study was completed as my first try on UI/UX while starting out with zero industry experience. It is, by no means, an accurate representation of my current progress as a Product Designer. Enjoy! :)
Lo-Fi Wireframes made using Adobe XD
I referred to the university timetables here for subject names so the app could be applied in reality.

Once I’m happy with the lo-fi wireframes, I move on to the high-fidelity ones. I got the avatars & names from UIFaces.
Final design
The dashboard is designed to be straightforward to minimize distraction.

When teachers log in, they immediately see their progress and can start the game right away.

Upon clicking on the students’ profile picture, the profile will pop up for easy reference. Students with a little red dot on the corner of profile picture indicate that they have not submitted their assignment.
Using Adobe XD’s Auto Animate feature
My mockups will be better next time. I Promise.
