A necklace in the shape of a moustache, designed and made while studying in Iðnskólinn í Hafnarfirði in the fall of 2009. Later I contacted the Icelandic Cancer Society about selling the necklace for Mottumars or Moustachemarch (similar to Movember) and half of the profits was donated to the cancer society. It was sold at selected stores in reykjavík, iceland in march of 2012 and were sold again in march of 2013. Packaging and appearance were made in collaboration with Ása Bryndís Gunnarsdóttir who drew the face and Sigrún Sæmundsen who did the graphics and layout of the packaging. The project was funded with grants from a few companies and well-wishers. Family and friends helped with the products assembly and packaging during one weekend in february of 2012. It is possible to change the length of the string of the necklace and thus place it under your nose as if you are sporting a moustache. The idea behind selling the necklace to aid the Icelandic Cancer Society during Mottumars came from the fact that women wanted to take part in the campaign but could not because of their lack of beard growth.
