Gulleggið or the Golden Egg is an innovation competition held annually on behalf of Innovit. Every year a new trophy is designed and presented to the competition’s winner. 2012’s trophy was designed and made by myself and the egg itself is made from maple, the top is painted with golden paint and sits on a plate made from plastic. The idea behind the egg’s form is taking the natural and making it synthetic and rough.
