Years ago, after we just finished another animation project, WaHa told me specifically not to take up animation projects ever. It is difficult to do proper animation work in Singapore, especially ANIME-looking ones since there isn't enough talent to go around. Animation is a really tedious job with long-working hours. Plus most clients aren't willing to pay us proper rates.
BUT WaHa never said anything about us doing pre-production work! When OtakuVS approached us regarding their animation plan, I remembered that loophole. So here we are. While we were not involved in the production side of things, we are happy and proud to have worked on various pre-production artworks for OtakuVS' animation endeavour. It has been almost half a year of trials and tribulations for Yuseff and his team.

This is the key visual that we originally did for him when the first launch date was 25 Oct 2019. However, due to change in the production team, there was a revamp in the character design. So this one doesn't really work as well anymore.
Other than key visual, we did storyboards and character turn-arounds. Our character designs didn't exactly make it into the final version of the animation but we're glad that it was well-liked back when it was revealed!
WaHa handled the storyboarding of all the episodes. While the first three episodes was done with our character design in mind, from the fourth episode onwards, WaHa adopted the new, more-stylized character designs within the storyboards. These samples below are the pages from Episode 1 that the OtakuVS team already revealed online.
We hope you have liked the first episode! Animation is crazy work and kudos to Studio Yuraki for pulling it off. If you guys need key animation, we can do some of that for you too!
