In my 4th semester we had a competition briefing from the packaging company ELOPAK. My concept was about creating a better functionality for the gable of beverage cartons. 

As targetgroup I chose elderly people that often suffer from diseases such as parkinson's and gout which make it difficult to handle these packages. 

In my concept I designed an Apple spritzer "with still water" as product, because elderly people prefer juices mixed with still water. Due to its isotonic effect the minerals can be absorbed faster by the body.

The two oval notches in the gable guarantee a better hold as they allow you to hold the packaging with your index and middle finger.
