Client: The Design Society

 

Brief: The Design Society Conference is an annual design event in Singapore. And this event could not get any better with the presence of a world famous graphic designer and typographer, David Carson. The objective is to promote the event and its programmes as well as awareness about special guest David Carson and his works.

Concept: Inspired by David Carson's style of grunge and deconstructivism.

 

Description: For this project we are required to create a set of flyers based on our favorite typographer. I chose David Carson as he was a 'rebel' of type. We all understood the rules but he uses them and breaks them to create his works that are cool. Hence I used the deconstructive elements of LaSalle which was the event venue as a layout grid and played with the type rules.
