Live After Five is a seasonal series of free, weekly events in downtown Baton Rouge. With live music, local art, eclectic entertainment and plenty of food, it's family friendly event that has been popular for the last 22 years.
For this year's promotional graphics, I tried to capture the feeling of downtown Baton Rouge during Live After Five; festive, celebratory and vibrant! The design features different types of instruments to show the variation in music genres performed there. I included a simplified illustration of the iconic Louisiana Old State Capitol, which serves as the backdrop for the concert's stage. And of course, being a Louisiana event, it wouldn't be complete without a little crawfish!
The event branding also included a social media campaign for Instagram. Here is an example of the eye catching posts featuring elements of the poster design.
