On Thursday I went to the photographers gallery to see Women Photography Now! My tutor recommended it as a talk to see, this interested me as it is a topic that has been spoken a lot about recently and I was intrigued to hear what they had to say. 

Originally I thought it was going to be a group of women talking about their career and experiences of being a female photographer, which they did but they spoke in more depth about the different charities and organisations that support female photographers.

Del Barrett: Hundred Heroines - Heroinic Stories - Faith, Hope, Charity and other Tales.

and etc. 

I found this interesting as I'd never heard about any of the organisations that were mentioned. Which I thought was fascinating that we as students, weren't aware that these existed earlier and could help them gain more publicity if we all were told about them.  

Now that I know about these charities, I'm going to do some research into them and hope to gain a bit more information about them.
