Underground es un proyecto que proporciona un ritual de desconexión de la ciudad y reconexión con la naturaleza, especialmente con el agua y el mar, a los habitantes de un futuro y utópico distrito de Barcelona.
Ubicado justo en la orilla del mar, este espacio con forma de ola, permite ocultar el ritual de la vista de la ciudad, permite, con su arquitectura, una mayor implicación en el proceso de devolver la tactilidad y la calma a los usuarios. Los sonidos del mar retumban y su brisa llega hasta el espacio, mientras que sus olas cubren con una fina capa de agua la estructura que alberga la verdadera experiencia espacial.

Underground is a project that allows a ritual of disconnection from the city, at the same time that it helps the inhabitants of a future utopic district from Barcelona reconnect with nature, specially with the sea and its water.
This wave-shaped space is located right on the sea shore, which ocults the ritual from the city view. Its architecture allows a major implication on the process of giving back to citizens the calm and tactility that they might not even know they long for. All sea sounds echo, and its breeze arrives at the space, all whilst its waves elegantly cover with a thin layer of water the estructure that lies underneath, where the most pure experience of the ritual takes place.

De este modo, la experiencia creada es dispuesta para los usuarios, de manera que la puedan disfrutar individualmente y en su totalidad. Los espacios, amplios, contemplativos y táctiles, junto con la atmosfera propia del entorno subacuático, resaltan las cualidades de la experiencia, creando un ritual único y especial, que trata con gentileza a la persona desde principio a fin.

This way, the designed experience is there for all its patrons, so that they can enjoy it individualy and to the fullest. All spaces, being wide, contemplative and haptic, together with the underwater atmosfere that its surroundings bring, enhance the experience’s qualities, creating a unique and special ritual which treats gently its visitors from beginning to end.
