Collagraphy
Collagraphy is a printmaking process where objects are placed or adhered to a rigid surface like a plexi board or cardboard. The plate is inked-sometimes it is inked before objects are placed onto the surface--and applied to paper with a lot of pressure resulting in a print.
Below is a photo of a collagraph made using a cardboard plate and cardboard pieces. This is an artist print I kept for myself. The final proof is with my printmaking professor. I used black and white Akua ink.
This next piece is also a cardboard plate with tulle. I used black Akua ink.
Next are some collagraphs using flowers and plants placed on a plexi plate.
