When designing tarot cards, I encountered challenges in determining the imagery and symbolism to depict on each card, as well as selecting the appropriate colors to evoke the desired emotions and meanings. Balancing the details of the illustrations with the themes of the tarot proved to be both a creative and technical challenge, requiring careful consideration and experimentation to achieve the desired aesthetic.

In the initial stages of my tarot card project, I delved into sketching to explore the compositions of each illustration for the cards. Sketching provided me with the freedom to experiment with various ideas, allowing me to visualize the symbolic elements and overall mood of the cards.

I start by creating line art to define the composition, followed by applying base colors to establish the foundational palette. Then, I add subtle detailing before moving on to shading and highlights to create depth and dimension. After adding final touches, I meticulously review and edit the artwork to ensure it meets my vision and standards.
