Fully Rigged: B Side / Web Design

Fully Rigged is a personal project diving into hard surface modelling and exploring the digital cinema camera Red Monstro 8K VV. If you're interested in the original project you can find it here on the A-Side

During this project I've visited Red's website quite often for referencing. If you have a look at their current site ( September 2020), you will notice that, for a company that sells cameras priced at $45,000. Their website does not reflect their product Design language or status. Visual energy and presence of a brand needs to reflect in everything they do, and to Their online presence requires a visual energy that matches the industrial design of their cameras. This is where I explored a direction that borrows elements of their industrial design, with a touch of my current design pleasures.

This section is also a small reflection of where my 3D modelling enthusiasm is viable in a Web Design career. I’m still on the search for various methods of introducing 3D into web.

Camera Builder

A section on their website that requires a better system, is the camera builder. For a product built on a modular structure, their website fails to deliver a section where you can have an engaging camera building experience.

In my design, although very rudimentary, the user can explore possible builds and customise their camera to their needs. Alternating the linear and tedious process into a fun visual experience.
