Spiritual journey
Nara Park is a public park located in the city of Nara, Japan, The park is one of the “Places of Scenic Beauty” designated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). Deer in the park are designated as national treasures and are protected in Japan. My capstone project will commit to creating a suite of promotional items for Nara Park’s tourism campaign.
The native sika deer have lived here for over a thousand years, and have been considered auspicious omens and messengers of the gods for about as long.
AIMS
> Allow Nara park’s image to be more representative and more consistently that can allow more travelers to understand more local culture.
> Develop a refined brand identity for Nara park which leads to attracting my target demographic.
> Develop a collection of works that can be used to invoke audiences to protect local wild animals and nature at the same time.
Moodboard
inspiration
I inspired from Negative space logo: The negative space designing is a unique and ingenious way to convey multiple thoughts and visions. Such as the FedEx logo which use the negative space smartly,if you look at the white space between the "E" and "x" you can see a right-facing arrow.
ideation
For the illustration, I was composed two elements together as a new creative element that represents Nara park 's feature. Such as the deer with the tree, the shrine with the cherry blossom....
The logo design buildup the deer shape with a growing tree by using the negative techic, the positive space has the deers shape, as well as represent the branches of the tree; Those small branches represent knowledge and history of the park;

Colour palette essence:
Green: Nature, tree
Brown: Wood
Red: In Japan, is a symbol of traditional, lucky, power, energy
Violet: Mysterious and sacred
Pink: Pure, friendly
Ginger yellow: Moon (Symbol of sacred)

Deliverables
Stickers
Based on the park's name, composed the elements in the park such as the temple, the cherry blossom, the antlers with the letter 'N' 'A' 'R' 'A'.
In my view, the moon is a symbol of spiritual, so I chose the moon element with the violet background colour.
Phonecases
Same treated as the stickers, simply but consistency.

Using the limit colour pallet to keep the style simply and clearly, the information will includes on the website link below.
UI & WEB Design
I aim to design an APP that for visitors received the latest updated of Nara park, as well easily booking the ticket or accommodation online, they also can discover the viewpoint and history through the app. They keep the same style as the previous deliverables.
3D Cookie box package:
This will be the souvenir cookies sell in the park. It has three flavous and are Nara park limit package. Simply by using the deer illustration through the two side of the box that has the contrast effect.
