MOM Conducts Safe Sample Collection

The recipient of a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in recreational medicine and exercise science, respectively, from Georgia Southern College, Leonard Bevill draws on nearly three decades of expertise in the field of occupational medicine. Since 2001, Leonard Bevill has served as the president, CEO, and owner of Macon Occupational Medicine (MOM), which offers various services, such as drug and alcohol screening.

The Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) has awarded Macon Occupational Medicine accreditation, indicating that the facility meets the highest possible requirements to ensure that clients are protected. Macon Occupational Medicine (MOM) protects donors' privacy while ensuring that the collection process complies with regulatory requirements.

At MOM, collection services are provided in four rooms. Each room has its own private conference area for gathering the information needed to complete the Chain of Custody. After completing the Control and Custody Form, the donor will go to the collecting area devoid of running or chemically colored water.

To safeguard their privacy, the donor will be directed to the private conference room once the specimen has been taken, rather than walking out into an area with other customers. A Certified Professional Collector then completes the collecting procedure following certain protocols to ensure the specimen has not been tampered with.
