In this project I (re)create the site through the feelings and the sensations flowering from the original space; Portobello Rd, Ladbroke Grove Station, Notting Hill Gate... The videos or the moving images, are the instrument that led me to realize this process of caption/observation and then sharing the sensations and feelings recorded. 

 

To start, I began to observing, picturing and analysing the site. A research of a site I had not been before starting this project.  

When I had got my impression of the site I started to test it and experimenting with all I had in order to understand even more the space where I was going to base the project. 

 

After a hard and pleasant research I realized I had no certain place to go. I got lost because I was trying to represent the area as much realistic as possible, finding the better way to render the place. But I didn’t realize that to get this I didn’t need to use just pictures, sounds, or historic facts because for much quantity I would had, these always would be just sounds, images or sentences and not the place itself. So I stopped and restarted my research, but this time, I was looking for a more solid basis. Something I would refer and base my work on it. On account of this I asked myself, and researched about what was the meaning of space. And I realized, that spaces affects people’s emotions. We feel the spaces.

 

The next step in this project it was how to picture the feelings, emotions, sensations that the area was transmitting. To render this, in order to be able to show the space throw this way, I analysed and record the site again. And at the end, movement, colours, lights or sounds started to be my main materials to work and (re)create the original site.

 

 

Circles is the final outcome after experimenting with many compilations of images, sounds and places. The importance of this projects belongs to the process and research. This audiovisual take you to the place from a new point of view.  It lets you to feel the original site from a new way that you have not experienced before. 

Circles becomes a way to feel the place. It becomes an experience that can be shared, individual or collective. Circles is an amount of sensations which bring you in the original area.
