Not Mute On Climate Campaign

Not Mute On Climate

The Brief
Talking about climate can be a bit depressing - and never more than in the lead up to COP26, when Australia was ranked 193 out of 193 countries for action on climate change. We wanted to show the world that it's not for lack of trying.

The Insight
Australia has real climate leaders - they just aren't in parliament house. They give us hope.

The Idea
Australia is not mute on climate. We celebrated the people showing up every day to make a difference by sharing the actions that Australians are taking for climate, despite our government inaction.
Not Just Words
We launched with a group of activist organisers and innovators, to share a message of hope that we can be a country of climate leadership, and show that Australians are ready to make change.

Then we called on people to tell us the real things they're already doing to lead Australia to a climate safe future. With customisable and shareable tiles available, hundreds of people said that they were Not Mute On Climate.
Activist organisations backed the campaign
