Most of these are my removing the original color from photos, except for the parts that I want to emphasize. Most were used for digital posts, some were used for more tangible things like wallpapers. I enjoy taking photos. I enjoy black and white photos. And the graphic design laid on top is me expressing parts of who I am, especially with regards to my Choctaw culture.
This was used as an appreciation post for the women in my life, in my family.
My son has long hair. It's important in our culture, much like a lot of other indigenous cultures. My hope is that if he cuts it then it's his choice, not because of pressure from others.
The previous two are of my wife, my love. She's allowed me to post these even though she doesn't like sharing pictures of herself anywhere. But these compositions and overlays were too cool to not include.
Our Moms are amazing.
Doesn’t matter if they come in the form of aunties, grandmas, or sister-cousins.
They take care of us the most and always seem to know how to fix it, no matter what it is.
They’re goofy, laugh too loud, and drink a little too much coffee.
They score from center, braid our hair, and fix our beads.
They make fun of how we say words, scream the loudest when we succeed, and throw hands at anyone.
Our Moms are magic, strength, sarcasm, and much more.
And I wouldn’t want them in any other way.
Me and Rogues love yall with all we have.
