All-day Café Holt

Brand identity
Nijmegen-based All Day Café
Holt is not a real coffee place, typical lunchroom, everyday ice cream parlor, or traditional pub.

And yet Holt is a little bit of all of the above. We focus on fresh, honest products and strive for a balance between craft and comfort. We follow food trends closely and given the opportunity set our own trends. Keep an eye out for us and stop by when you're in a Holt-mood.

Visual identity
Holt is an all-day café that dances with the flow of the moment. Constantly switching between three parts of the day. With this in mind, we designed this swinging logo.
The wordmark Holt is at the centre of the three different moments (rings) of the day. An organized chaos of shapes, colors, movement and typography.

Typography
Abundance in type
Holt's love for the plentiful and the voracious can also be seen in the typography. Big, thick, moving letters demand your attention without begging you.

Iconography
No need to be all that mature at Holt.
So we gave our inner child the wheel for a moment and made these fresh stylised doodles. Like they were quickly scribbled on a piece of paper while holding a call and later vectorised.

Clothing
A corporate identity should not only be recognizable, it should be recognizable in everything.
To avoid just slapping a big logo on everything that fits, you can create different graphical elements within the identity that can be applied in other creative ways. In the case of Holt, we drew these just as visually memorable doodles and placed them inside the familiar three rings of the logo. When put on a shirt the versatility of Holt is visually communicated by the people attending your table.

Photography
Holt's identity is supported by fresh colourful images to bring that Holt feeling home.
Custom photography is one of the most important elements for us to provide context. In this project, it allows the audience to project themselves in the different moments that characterise the day.
Also, we just like to work with talented local creatives who can complement us where it adds value.

Convenient and funny
Convenient because you can look at the online menu on the terrace while waiting for the waiter. Funny because it's Holt. This keeps the audience experience consistent across all channels.
