For a University project I wrote a brief for myself to create a small A5 booklet of sorts.
For the subject matter I decided to do something which is very close to my heart; Female Equality in Comic Books.
Being a huge Comic Book fan myself I was eager to do something that expressed my interest, and having been on the recieving end of the stigma regarding my gender in Comics I decided it would be a good issue to address.
I decided to use Social Media as a platform in which to start this as I knew a few people who were also equally passionate about the issue as I am. I asked for peoples opinions or thoughts on why female characters were important in Comic Books, or who their favourite character was and why. This unexpectadly got me a lot of replies, some of which are on these pages.
This book is a preliminary of sorts as I hope to continute this project on further after University and put a lot more time into making it.
