STACCATO STATIONS
PROJECT OBJECTIVE: To design a Transportation Hub at Artz Park
LOCATION: Oxford, Ohio
FALL 2021
CONCEPT: A transport hub is a space in between spaces, a stopping point between one place and another. This design attempts to transform that interstitial space into an exciting experience and a destination. The entirely wooden structure provides an accessible interconnected waiting space for trains, buses, and bikes at Artz Park. The structure itself takes inspiration from train tracks and invokes a sense of movement with clear paths and open, rhythmic channels. It uses the geometry found in the site and pushes the 30-60-90 triangle into multiple dimensions and functions.
