Marketing assets for Disney's Cruella


CRUELLA
A prequel to a classic Disney film, Cruella was a highly promoted and eagerly awaited production. As part of the design team, I contributed to Disney's nationwide marketing campaign, creating print and digital assets for both cinema and Disney+ streaming. The challenge was to ensure these assets matched the grandeur of the advertising and resonated with Australian audiences while maintaining original design consistency across the entire campaign.

The solution
Our team was granted an unusual amount of flexibility in localising material for Cruella, utilising a variety of fun, punk-grunge assets. Print advertisements were strategically placed on posters, billboards, public areas, and digital spaces, demanding strategic and creative thinking to reach our audience effectively.

The results
Disney expressed extreme satisfaction with the end result, showcasing Cruella assets prominently in public spaces across Australia. Additionally, the assets orchestrated a surprise takeover of the Daily Mail website, transforming the entire home page with the bold colours and visually stunning grunge aesthetics of Cruella branding, meticulously crafted by our design team.
