Hardcore Salteado - Quantoon - Coletânea de Humor
HARDCORE SALTEADO was an expression that my friends at the PUTZ fanzine and I used when we were teenagers, but I don't remember in which situations it was used. In 1995 I participated in the 1st National Comic Contest, promoted by ABRA, in the Newspaper Strips category, and used the expression as the strip's name. The world of HARDCORE SALTEADO was born. The strips also participated in the 2nd edition of the Competition and were used in the children's supplement I made in the countryside, my first work as a professional illustrator.
Some of the strips in this collection initially appeared on the web version, but the majority were created exclusively for this collection.
"Quantoon - Coletânea de Humor", published in 2015, was the album that inaugurated the partnership between SESI-SP Editora and Quanta Academia de Artes. It was designed based on a closed editorial line, focused only on strips.
The objective was to offer the public new works created by comic artists, regardless of whether they were already well-known or newcomers.
