Shackles and Bones
Grahamstown band Shackles and Bones will be bringing an acoustic set to the 2011 National Arts Festival with the hope of gaining experience and diversifying their audience.
Although the band is just a year old, they won the Grahamstown "Battle of the Bands" in 2010, and won a recording slot, where they created their first EP.
I photographed the band in studio, as well as some of their gigs.
Band members: Alex (drums), Dave (acoustic guitar), Luke (guitar), Neil (bass guitar).
The band also spoke to my colleague,Jane van Doorene about their future plans and unique sound in this podcast.
