Jenya and I participated to the Adobe Creative Jam set in Düsseldorf on the 2nd of July 2016, representing the DDB Team.
In a challenge with other teams from other agencies we were asked to develop in five hours time the given theme: "The Future is Now".
This is the artwork we came out with.
We chose to connect the present and the forthcoming in one only element, a playing card that, differently from a classical one, shows two different faces and at the same time the same one. The two characters, the kid from the present and the future astronaut, are linked in an ambigram showing the words "NOW" and "THEN" according to the side it's read. The ambigram itself becomes an analogy to the real thing that links the present to the future: dreams. Children's dreams, to be exact.
And this game of dreams becoming future repeats in a perpetual play, as the infinite symbol on the card signals.
We've been gladly awarded both as the Judge's choice and People's choice.
