Colored Pencil Illustrations
The following images are completed colored pencil illustrations I made for my Illustration class in my Graphic Design program. For each project we had mock clients requesting different illustrations for various magazines, posters, or advertisements. Each drawing is based off of pictures I took or ones I looked up online for consumer use.
I first used pencil to outline the image on a light table to get the proportions right. Then I used a printed out image to reference color for the illustrations. Once completed, I scanned in the drawings and edited them in Photoshop to brighten and intensify color.

Fruits and Veggies Illustration
I chose to draw a red pepper, zucchini, and grapefruit for this project. All fruits/vegges that I took pictures of I bought from a local grocery store. The pictures were taken around the time the sun started to set, so that I could get a good contrast of highlights and shadows. I love the aesthetic of educational posters, so I thought it would be a fun touch to draw the inside and outside of each fruit/veggie to mimic a botanical like poster.
Flower Illustration
My family has a pretty spacious backyard of mostly forest, so I wanted to chose wildflowers I've seen while hiking in our woods for this project. Below are Black Caps, Golden Rod, Black-eyed Susan, Chamomile, and Violets.
